Tannah gives back

Golfers will be charged R4500 per four ball which will include green fee - halfway, goodie bags, two golf carts per four ball and entry to the prize giving dinner.

Come April 7, Bedfordview resident and philanthropist Tannah Bloomfield and her family will host a golf day for the welfare of those less fortunate.

The seven-year-old was born with a cleft lip and palate and has undergone three operations thus far, along with speech therapy sessions to correct the effects of the condition.

She is a pupil at St Andrew’s School for Girls.

Her mother, Mrs Judy Bloomfield said in 2013 she learnt through her daughter’s doctor that Netcare had lost donors for their foundation that helps patients with cleft lips and palates to undergo surgery.

In came Tannah’s Gift, a charity organisation that raises funds for children whose families cannot afford surgery and speech therapy sessions.

All proceeds made from the golf day will be donated by Tannah’s Gift, together with Ridgeway Racebar, to the Netcare Parklane Cleft Lip and Palate Programme.

Golfers will be charged R4 500 per four-ball, which will include a green fee – halfway, goody bags, two golf carts per four-ball and entry to the prize-giving dinner.

Entertainment will be offered throughout the day.

For bookings and further details, interested parties can contact Tannah’s Gift at tannahsgift@gmail.com or on 011 609-0017.

The event will take place at Huddle Park.
