UPDATE: Sector manager tasked to look into Kensington kidnapping

Abduction still not reported to SAPS.

After the alleged abduction of two girls by six suspects described as “boys” on Friday, it is still unclear what happened.

The Jeppe SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi said, “A case has still not been opened. The sector manager was tasked to make a follow-up and updates will follow if there are any developments.”

The incident was reported by a bystander late on Friday.

The bystander witnessed six suspects dragging the girls into a house in Good Hope Street in Kensington.

The bystander, who contacted the EXPRESS from the scene, immediately went and knocked on the door and upon entering the back of the building, they found the two girls who seemed to be drugged or drunk.

The SAPS and ER24 were immediately called to the scene.

ER24 arrived at the scene and the girls were transported to the Edenvale Hospital.
