UPDATE: Abduction of girls confirmed but no case opened at SAPS

A bystander witnessed six suspects drag two girls into a house in Good Hope Street in Kennington.

There is no clarity yet on yesterday’s abduction of two girls allegedly by six suspects described as “boys”.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, told EXPRESS journalist Sascha-Lee Solomons the abduction did occur but no case has been opened at the SAPS.

It was reported late yesterday a bystander witnessed the six suspects dragging the girls into a house in Good Hope Street in Kennington.

The bystander, who contacted the EXPRESS from the scene, immediately went and knocked on the door and upon entering the back of the building, they found the two girls who seemed to be drugged or drunk.
He said he called the SAPS and ER24. ER24 arrived at the scene and the girls were transported to the Edenvale Hospital.
