A cashier has been caught with a skimming device that she is allegedly using to scam her customers.
Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Mduduzi Nhlabathi said the woman was arrested at work at a Bedfordview shopping centre on February 9 after 12-noon.
He said police were following information that the cashier might be using the device.
“The shop started to do its investigation after its customers complained about fraudulent actions on their accounts. Police found the device where the cashier was working. The management also confirmed that she was the only one using that working zone,” W/O Nhlabathi said.
