Jeppe to host annual flower show

Every flower arrangement will be judged and the girls will be awarded points for their houses.

Jeppe High School for Girls will be celebrating its 88th flower show on February 19 and 20.

Each girl in the school will take part to unleash her creative and imaginative skills.

The girls are encouraged to enter as many of the categories of the show as possible and there are usually over 2 000 arrangements submitted each year.

Every flower arrangement will be judged and the girls will be awarded points for their houses.

The judges are drawn from people who have been connected to the school and particularly to the flower show, or people in the flower and garden industry.

Former girls from the school can get involved in a special way this year by coming to the school on February 18 and arranging their flowers at the school.

The flower show is open to the public from 2.30pm to 6pm on February 19 and from 8.30am to 12.30pm on February 20.
