Three injured in scaffoling collapse at Eastgate Shopping Centre

This afternoon Emer-G-med paramedics responded to reports of a structural collapse at Eastgate Shopping Centre, in Bedfordview.

On arrival paramedics found that three construction workers had fallen approximately three storeys after the scaffolding they were working on collapsed.

The three patients were found under some of the collapsed structure.

One worker was in a critical condition with a suspected head injury and required Advanced Life Support interventions. The other two patients sustained moderate injuries.

The three patients were stabalized on-scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
