Da Rocha recuperating at home
“I fell full force onto my back on the concrete floor."
The ward 66 councillor is recuperating at home after he fell approximately four meters from the roof of his house.
Clr Carlos Da Rocha said he was working on CCTV cameras at his house when the ladder he was standing on slipped.
“I fell full force onto my back on the concrete floor,” he said on his Facebook page.
He said he was struggling to walk but was ready to help when needed.
“I am in pain but recovering. I should be back on my feet soon enough. The doctor said there were no broken bones but he booked me off for a week. If there is an emergency I am sure I can still deal with it, residents may contact me,” said Clr Da Rocha.
He urged residents not to make the same mistake.
“Never make the same mistake as I did. When working on a ladder, have someone holding it,” said Clr Da Rocha.
