An 18-year-old woman who is accused of killing her 27-year-old boyfriend in Yeoville on Sunday, January 3 will appear in court this week.
Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Const Thabo Malatji said the couple had an argument at a lodge situated at the corner of Natal and Bezuidenhout streets in Yeoville.
She allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death.
“The preliminary investigation revealed that the two had an argument in a room at the lodge. The boyfriend left the room leaving the woman behind. She followed him to the reception area of the lodge where a further confrontation ensued. He was stabbed with a knife and he fell down,” Const Malatji said.
He said the man was certified dead on the scene.
He added that employees from the lodge called the police and the woman was arrested.
At the time of going to print it was not clear what clear what caused the argument.
“She appeared at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court on Monday last week. The matter was postponed to this week for formal bail application,” Const Malatji said.
