Knowledge to share

The academy offers a high standard of education to enable students the opportunity to enter a professional career in beauty and wellness.

With over 25 years experience in the beauty industry, Sharon Rae Nebbeling has an abundance of knowledge to pass on to her students.

Incorporating the teachings of the Jemme Beauty School, the Sharon Rae Academy of Beauty will launch in 2016 and will mark a new era for the academy.

While the Jemme Beauty School name will fall away, the Sharon Rae Academy of Beauty will obtain its own national and international accreditation.

The academy offers a high standard of education to enable students the opportunity to enter a professional career in beauty and wellness.

Sharon has worked at well-known salons, taught at various accredited colleges and managed her own salon.

“I opened the SA College of Beauty and Complimentary Health in Alberton, which I owned and operated for seven years,” Sharon said.

She added that her past experience, together with a degree in psychology and sociology, gives her insight and solutions in all aspects of up-skilling and developing students wanting to embark on a career in the beauty and health industry.

“Passion for the industry and my personal experiences, as well as a wealth of knowledge, will contribute to the student’s learning. I am committed to providing the best education, tools and resources to enable our students to embark on the greatest journey of their lives,” Sharon said.

“We intend to transform the academy to offer a new level of education. Our goal is to expand the brand within the beauty, make-up and hair fields. We will also be opening a salon in the New Year on the premises where students will be able to gain their practical hours under supervision of trained experienced therapists and hairdressers,” Sharon said.

This will allow students an opportunity to step into a place of employment as well as a means to market themselves via our website.

The Sharon Rae Academy of Beauty will host a meet and great for all students and parents on Saturday, December 5 at 9am, to discuss the plans moving forward.
