The spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni Disaster Management Service (DEMS), Mr William Ntladi, confirmed that a man, believed to be in his late 40s, fell to his death from the flyover bridge at Gillooly’s Interchange this morning.
It is believed that the man drove to the area before parking his vehicle and walking onto the bridge, shortly before the incident occurred.
Paramedics arrived on scene and found the man had sustained multiple serious injuries when he landed on the N3 North carriageway and he was pronounced dead.
The matter was handed over to Sanral and EMPD for the removal of the body.
