“By Tuesday, December 15, Jumpers will be back to normal. The relief for the residents not only includes building materials, but food parcels as well,” he said.

Mr Ivan Lima from Protostar Clean Cookstove said they have been involved for a long time as the settlement has faced many fires before.

“Our stoves serve as a solution to decrease possible fires ignited by paraffin stoves. We are donating stoves and fuel to the community to prevent future fires,” he said.

In addition, a representative from the Department of Social Development3, Mr Mashudu Radzilani, said the food parcels are to ensure that the community is assisted and equipped to returning to a normal life.
