Nursery school celebrates 60th milestone

The school was founded in 1955.

Dunvegan Nursery School celebrated its 60th anniversary.

The school was founded in 1955, in a house located along Lily Avenue in Edenvale with a mom and six children.

The nursery school’s first constitution was written in 1963.

The school also had its first Annual General Meeting in 1963.

The principal, Ms Yvonne Breedveld, said the school has between 135 and 140 children currently.

She said the school has evolved and grown tremendously.

“Celebrating 60 years shows that the school has had a long journey. We are extremely grateful to have made it to 60 years,” said Ms Breedveld.
