Bedfordview SAPS is investigating a case of murder after a gardener was killed during a house robbery gone wrong.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mduduzi Nhlabathi said two suspects entered the property, on Van der Linde Road and found two people watching TV.
“The suspects demanded the remote for the gate which they said they don’t have. One suspect then left the room while the other was guarding the duo.” said W/O Nhlabathi.
He said the deceased wrestled for the gun with one of the suspects and was shot in the process. “The other suspect came back into the room and instructed his friend to shoot the victim. He shot him two more times,” said W/O Nhlabathi.
No arrests have been made yet.
