The SAPS is looking for this man in connection with the armed robbery that took place on Thursday, October 29, shortly before 4pm.
The Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said a motorist was approached by several men while at a petrol station along Marcia Street in Cyrildene.
“The suspects exited a Nissan bakkie that was parked at the petrol station. One of the men pointed a firearm at the motorist and demanded money. The suspect ordered him to lie on the ground. Some of the accomplices searched the motorist’s vehicle. As the suspects were trying to flee the scene, the victim managed to grab one of the men. One of the suspects then fired two shots into the ground. The suspects managed to escape and took the victim’s car as well,” said Const Mashakane.
Const Mashakane said anyone who has information that can lead to the arrest of this man and his accomplices can contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Roy Shipalana, on 073 446 0162.
