Abducted man’s body found

"The son was later discovered in the family's spaza shop, bleeding."

The body of a man (63) has been found after he was abducted by robbers who entered his home on St Fransquin Street, in Malvern, this morning.

The man was later found lying in a pool of blood in his family’s spaza shop.

According to the Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane, three men entered the home this morning. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and pointed the weapon at the man and his mother (85).

“The men took R1 200 in cash and fled the scene with the man. He was later found lying in a pool in the family’s spaza shop,” said Const Mashakane.

He was certified on the scene by paramedics.
