Trucker driver hijacked, abducted

The incident occurred shortly after 11am.

A man was abducted in Cleveland and dumped in Brits, in the North West, after a truck hijacking on Tuesday.

The incident occurred shortly after 11am.

The Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said the man was driving his company truck on the M2, near the Denver off-ramp, when a sedan blocked his way.

Four occupants exited the sedan and forced the driver into their vehicle.

“One of the men drove off in the truck and the others drove off with the truck driver in their vehicle. They dropped him off in Brits. He called his manager who sent a car to fetch him,” said Const Mashakane.
