A 25-year-old man was arrested for robbing school children on Friday, November 20, shortly after 2pm.
The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said the children were returning from school along Fourie Street.
He said the children were confronted by a man at the Observatory Street intersection.
“He searched them and took their cellular phones. The man also threatened to kill them if they told anyone about the robbery.
“The children reported the matter to their parents as soon as they arrived home. The parents contact the SAPS. The suspect spotted and arrested a few blocks from the scene,” said Const Malatji.
