The Modderfontein Christmas Market will be held on December 5 at the Flamingo Dam in Modderfontein.
This year, the organisers urge the community to show their support by attending as the market has chosen to support a local vocalist, Serenity Cooke
Ms Cooke has been offered an opportunity to attend, compete and perform in the International Talent Search Audition.
The International Presentation Of Performers (IPOP) will be hosted in Los Angeles in July 2016.
The organiser of the market, Mr Peter Channing said, “We want to help her raise funds and get this girl to Hollywood so that she can accomplish her dreams.”
The market has been running for eight years now and has grown rapidly, with approximately 3 000 people who attend the market.
The market will have a variety of handmade products for sale, as well as a visit by Mr and Mrs Santa Claus, who will arrive on a Red Fire Engine to hand out gifts to the children.
There will be Christmas carols as well as a live band performing throughout the evening.
Serenity will perform a small selection of songs to give locals a chance to hear her sing. Her family will have a stall at the market, where those who want to make her dream come true can find out more about how to do so.
