Two arrested following ‘robbery spree’

Two men were arrested following a night robbery spree in Yeoville on Sunday.

The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said the men were arrested just after 11pm along Hunter and Bedford streets.

“Patrolling police officers noticed the men robbing another man. They held him at knife-point and took his belongings. The two men were arrested at the scene,” said Const Malatji.

It was later established that the same two men had robed someone else after 10pm along Webb Street the same night.

“A man was walking along Webb Street earlier that evening when the two robbed him. They took his cellular phone and money before they fled the scene,” said Const Malatji.
