Rhodes Park double murder, rape – second suspect arrested

More arrests are expected.

Another foreign national has been arrested in connection for the Rhodes Park double murder and rape.

Gauteng SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said  a 22-year-old man was arrested in Yeoville on Tuesday.

He said the man is expected to appear in court today.

On October 17 two couples were attacked by 12 men at the park.

The two men were assaulted, tied up and thrown into the lake. One of the women was raped.

The bodies of both men were later found by police divers.

The first suspect, a Zimbabwean, was arrested on October 30.
