Police officers from the Sebenza SAPS and the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department held a road block on the P91 from Friday last week to Monday, October 26.
During the roadblock, 23 motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Sebenza SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Sharon Mahamba-Tsotsotso, said one woman was arrested for possession of drugs.
“Constable Vellie Seshoene arrested a 28-year-old woman. The woman was found with two syringes containing a white powder, which weighed about 6.2 grams.
“She was arrested in Kiwiet Street in Croydon and was detained at the Sebenza SAPS,” said Sgt Tsotsotso.
