Blaze guts abandoned house
When the residents arrived at the burning house, there was nobody at the property.
Bez Valley residents woke up to a burning abandoned house this morning, shortly before 4am.
A resident, Mrs Abigail Robison, said she woke up to the smell of something burning.
“I saw the blaze at the house. We called the neighbours and emergency services. While waiting for the emergency services, we also tried to extinguish the flames with hosepipes and buckets,” she said.
According to Mrs Robison, the house is frequently occupied by vagrants.
