Design students shine in competition

59 Jeppe Girls pupils from grades 10 to 12 entered the competition. The school was the only one to have four pupils' work mentioned.

Jeppe High School for Girls design students have again excelled in The Star’s Design-an-Ad competition.

59 Jeppe Girls pupils from grades 10 to 12 entered the competition. The school was the only one to have four pupils’ work mentioned.

Lizan Potgieter, in grade 11, was voted the grand winner for the Front Page category “Vision of Johannesburg in 2055”.

Grade 12 pupil Jodi Lailvaux was the third place winner for her advert in the grade 10 to 12 category for Adams Discount Centre.

Grade 11 pupil Chantelle Schoultz received a highly commended for her advert for the Front Page “Vision of Johannesburg 2055″. Kayla Gailey was recognised for her contribution to the competition.

Both Chantelle and Kayla’s adverts for Bakos Brothers were published in The Star’s supplement.

The school was presented with a cheque for R5 000 by the Star.
