Local hockey club wins premier league

The Jeppe St Andrew’s Hockey Club won the Premier Hockey League for the third time in four years.

The Jeppe St Andrew’s Hockey Club won the Premier Hockey League for the third time in four years.

The team went unbeaten this year and drew only two games.

They beat the University of Johannesburg in the finals (4-2) to be crowned the 2015 Ladies Premier League winners. Roxy Turner, Sylvia Horstmann, Stacey Turner, Demi Du Toit, Nikki Kingsley, Rob Pullen (coach), Sarah Allan, Chrislyn Allan, Donna Pullen, Leeandre French, Leandri Jansen van Vuuren, Kirsten Simone, Jeanine Granger, Catherine McNulty, Christine Roos and Aidan Mailey are all members of the team that trains at St Andrew’s School for Girls.

The team consists of old girls Catherine McNulty, Sarah Allan and Chrislyn Allan, current grade 11 pupil Aidan Mailey, and staff member Jeanine Granger.
