The SAPS confirmed a manager from Volkswagen in Greenstone was kidnapped by an unknown number of suspects and later dropped off in Alexandra.
According to the acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts, the suspects kidnapped a manager at the dealership. The suspects were driving their own VW Jetta before driving the man to Alexandra.
The manager was allegedly put into the boot of the suspects’ vehicle.
The men took a set of keys from the manager before leaving him in the Alexandra area unharmed.
Further investigations are underway.
