Following tweets about a hijacking and hostage situation in Greenstone, Edenvale police officials have been unable to confirm the details of the alleged incident.
According to the tweets a green VW Jetta was hijacked with the victim on board.
Further tweets included that the victim was thrown out of the vehicle in Edenvale.
Provincial communications officer Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini was unavailable for comment and Colonel Katlego Mogale said that she does not have information about the case.
