Writers 2000 held an Annual Writing Competition and the winners were recognised.
Prizes for the winners in the group’s annual writing competition, in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and back-pager, were handed out during the event.
First place in the fiction category went to Ms Michelle Sachs. Ms Lorna Senior took second place and third place went to Ms Meggan Preuss.
The non-fiction category winner was Ms Geraldine Wilkins. Ms Jenny Vago won second prize and Ms Nicolette Bosman won third prize.
The back pager category winner was Ms Lorna Senior. Ms Jill Jacques took second and Ms Dorothy Grist came third.
The poetry category winner was Ms Meggan Preuss. Mr Duncan Stepto won second place and Ms Lorna Senior came third.
Writers 2000 is an interest group for people interested in writing. The group meets at 1:30pm for 2pm on the last Saturday of every month.
