The Jeppe SAPS is looking for three suspects following a smash-and-grab on Joe Slovo Drive in Doornfontein.
The incident took place on May 6, at 6.15pm.
The Jeppe SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi, said the victim had stopped at the traffic light when he heard a sound. He saw someone smash the right front window of his car.
“Three men were standing next to the car. One of the men reached inside the car and grabbed a cellular phone that was charging. Other belongings were also stolen. The second man switched off the car, pulled out the keys and threw them on the road. The third suspect was pointing a firearm at the victim.
“All three suspects ran towards Yeoville,” said W/O Munyayi.
