A man broke into a vehicle parked on Raleigh Bedford Street in Yeoville on August 8, shortly after 4pm.
According to the Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji, a woman parked her car and went to perform some errands.
“When she came back, she found the doors of her car open. She noticed that some of the items inside the vehicle had been taken. An eyewitness told her a man had forced the car doors open.
“She called the police. A 25-year-old man was arrested a few blocks away from the scene,” said Const Malatji.
A laptop, a bag and other belongings of the driver were recovered during the arrest.
