The team attended the most diverse event for young people in the world, the 23rd World Scout Jamboree.
The pupils, Douglas Grossett (grade 10) and Martin Kleer (grade 9) both belong to the 1st Bedfordview Scout Troop and Dylan Thatcher, in grade 11, represented the Edenvale Scout troop.
The boys joined over 32 000 youngsters from 144 countries at the event.
One of the key highlights was be the peace programme. 2015 marks the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of cities in Japan in 1945.
A special Peace Memorial Ceremony was held in Hiroshima and a Youth Peace Forum in Nagasaki, where South Africa was represented by two Scouts from the Jamboree Contingent.
