UPDATE: #Corrie was supposed to come home this weekend

Corrie was loved by many

Mr Corrie Le Grange died this morning at around 2:15am.

Ms Shammy Rademeyer, his fiancé, told the NEWS that Mr Le Grange’s blood pressure was too low and his heart rate was too high.

As a result his heart had stopped beating.

“Corrie was very ill at this point,” said Ms Rademeyer.

“He was supposed to come home this weekend,” she said.

The NEWS previously reported that Mr Le Grange was in a stable condition and out of ICU.

A day later he was transferred back to the ICU.

According to Ms Rademeyer, Mr Le Grange had picked up a bug in the ICU which worsened his condition.

“I really can’t believe he’s gone, he was loved by so many people,” said Ms Rademeyer.

Mr Le Grange’s journey was followed by many. Many had hoped for a full recovery.

The community support and assistance did not go unseen by the family.

Ms Rademeyer and the family continuously thanked the NEWS and the community for what they have done.

“I am grateful for the support we have received with Corrie. He would never have been hospitalised if it weren’t for the media and the community,” she said.

“It is with great sadness that he has passed away, but the efforts made to get him help will forever be appreciated,” she said.
