Charmers donates to charity
Young models raise funds to help their peers.
Little Charmers and the Bedford Centre donated R20 000 to The Smile Foundation SA.
The money was raised during the charity raffle and lunch held at the shopping centre on Sunday last week.
Little Charmers is a modelling school based in Bedfordview.
Ms Shamara-Gabreilla Brenna, from the school, said they host two fashion shows a year and raise funds for a charity organisation.
“We host a seasonal fashion show where our students, ranging from four to 18 years old, showcase the trendiest winter collections from a few stores. We choose a charity to donate funds, raised through a charity raffle and lunch. This year our chosen charity was the Smile Foundation. Together with the Bedford Centre, we raised R20 000,” she said.
The money will help two children with facial abnormalities to receive reconstructive surgery.
