Residents invited to safety proposal meeting

Come July 14, the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum (CPF) will host a Community Safety Proposals meeting.

According to the chairperson, Mr Gavin Henry, presentations will be made to residents with suggestions on how to win the fight against crime in the area.

The meeting, which will be held at the Cornerstone Church in Morninghill, comes after Bedfordview experienced a rise in house robberies in recent months.

The event will start at 6:30pm.

Mr Henry urged members of the public to forward any queries and questions via email to his CPF office before July 10.

“To maintain order and to have a productive meeting, we ask that any queries and questions be emailed. Such issues will be addressed by the chairman and the panel during the meeting itself,” said Mr Henry.

He said all residents are invited to be part of the meeting.

Station commander for the Bedfordview SAPS, Colonel Sevha Shiburi, will also attend the meeting as well as the ward 20 councillor, Clr Jill Humphreys.
