SPCA upgrading its kennels
This task is expensive and the SPCA does not have the budget to support this kind of project.
“The teams at the Bedfordview and Germiston SPCA are moving full steam ahead with uplifting all the dog kennels to make them more spacious and comfortable for the animals in our care,” said Ms Paula Pinto from the SPCA.
Ms Pinto also said the small dog kennels are almost complete and the process of tripling the size of these kennels is underway.
The SPCA is doing this to make suitable living quarters for the larger dogs.
“Once the project is complete, the dogs will be able to move around comfortably,” said Ms Pinto.
The SPCA is also planning on levelling the floors so it is more hygienic for the dogs. It will also be easier to clean.

The SPCA is asking for the community to support the future comfort of homeless animals in the organisation’s care.
“Every gift, no matter how small, will enable us to get closer to the completion of these kennels and the upgrading of the remaining kennels,” said Ms Pinto.
