Domestic worker tied up, assaulted during burglary

The suspects took the domestic worker to a bedroom, tied her up and blindfolded her. She was also assaulted.

A house was robbed in Royal Oak Street, Kensington, on Monday morning.

According to the house owner’s domestic worker, she was ironing when three men entered the house.

The suspects were armed and told her to keep quiet.

A plasma television, laptop and a bottle of wine was stolen during the burglary.

The value of the stolen property was estimated to be worth R10 000.

According to the Cleveland SAPS communications officers, Constable Mpho Mashakane, the suspects fled the scene.

A forensics team was called to the scene for fingerprints.

No arrests have been made.
