UPDATE: SAPS clarifies conflicting reports about missing man

A case of a missing person was opened at Edenvale Police Station last night.

Acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts said according to police records Ryan Watson, resident of Kempton Park, was reported as missing from June 14.

A case of a missing person was opened at Edenvale Police Station last night. “According to statements made to the police, he has been missing since June 14,” said Lt Col Roberts.

“No further details were given as to where he was last seen,” Lt Col Roberts said.

This follows several reports that Ryan was last seen on July 16 and July 17.

His family told eBlockwatch they last heard from Ryan on June 16 at 7.30pm.

He was also last seen at Cheerleaders and Rockabilly’s.

In CCTV footage captured in the parking area outside Rockabilly’s and Cheerleaders Ryan can be seen leaving the establishment with an unknown man.

Ryan’s family believes he may have been drugged.

“He was definitely not going willingly,” his mother Angela Watson told eBlockwatch.

“You can see the guy pulling him.”

Ryan’s car was also taken.
