The Bedfordview SAPS has confirmed the death of one of the men arrested in connection with the recent home invasions in the area.
Moses Maleka was allegedly shot and killed outside a night club in Malboro.
The Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, confirmed that Maleka was among those arrested last month during an operation by the station’s detective unit as well as national and provincial crime intelligence.
The arrests came after police received a tip off days after the gang robbed a home in Lavin Road.
One suspect was arrested in Alexandra and another in Norkem Park. The third was nabbed in Centurion and the fourth in Ga-Rankuwa.
Although the men were granted R3 000 bail each, it was not known when their next appearance would be.
