Man nabbed after robbing woman

A 23 year old man was arrested in Yeoville after he and his two accomplices allegedly robbed a woman.

Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji said the men threatened a woman at the corner of Regent and Kenmere Street on Sunday before 6pm.

“They took the victim’s cellular phone, cash and identity book. When they left the woman told passing patrolling police officers what had happened.

When the men saw the police vehicle, they ran in different directions. One suspect was arrested. Some of the woman’s stolen items and also the knife that was used to threaten the victim were recovered,” Const Malatji said.
