Edenvale Home Affairs goes digital

The initiative aims to ensure consistently high quality of customer experience at Home Affairs offices through the establishment of model offices.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, last week launched the Moetapele Leadership Initiative at the Edenvale Home Affairs offices.

The initiative aims to ensure consistently high quality of customer experience at Home Affairs offices through the establishment of model offices.

The Edenvale Home Affairs office has been revamped to demonstrate a fully digitised, paperless environment.

Part of this includes piloting a payment system that will allow clients to pay for Home Affairs’ services with debit and credit cards, which will be rolled out to all 140 ID smart card offices by March 2016.

Minister Gigaba was joined on the day by Gauteng Community Safety MEC Faith Mazibuko as he took a tour of the revamped offices before launching the initiative at a ceremony held at Edenvale High School.
