Jackson murder case removed from court roll – NPA confirms

“We did ask Louca to provide an affidavit regarding the allegations against Krejcir. This was done in January. At the time of his death, no affidavit had been received. We cannot continue with the case. If we find evidence pointing to another person involved in Jackson's murder, we will pursue it again" - NPA.

The case involving the death of former Bedfordview resident, Lolly Jackson, will be removed from the court roll.
This follows the death of suspect, George Louca, at the Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre’s hospital section in Pretoria on Monday evening.
Louca was suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.
He applied to the court to be released from prison on medical grounds.
The application was denied.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Mr Velekhaya Mgobhozi, said the case will be removed from the court roll as Louca was the only suspect in the case.
During the application in court, Louca accused former Bedfordview resident, Rodovan Krejcir, of murdering Jackson. Krejcir denied these allegations.
“We did ask Louca to provide an affidavit regarding the allegations against Krejcir. This was done in January. At the time of his death, no affidavit had been received. We cannot continue with the case. If we find evidence pointing to another person involved in Jackson’s murder, we will pursue it again,” he said.
Mr Jackson was shot and killed in a house in Edleen, Kempton Park, on May 3, 2010.
