Area experiences its second night of xenophobic unrest and looting.

Eleven people were arrested following last night xenophobic unrest in Joburg East area. Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane said eight were charged with public violence while three were arrested for house breaking. She added more than 200 foreign nationals were sheltered at the station.”We are not taking any chances, we are maintaing police presence in the area. More units will be added throughout the day,” she said.
