Support Little Eden with secondhand items

The second-hand shop, situated at the corner of Third Street and Eighth Avenue in Edenvale, is invaluable in contributing to the society’s fundraising efforts.

Making a difference in the community can be easy this autumn.

By donating unwanted second-hand items which are still in good condition to Little Eden residents will help contribute to the ongoing care and wellbeing of those in the care of the organisation.

For the convenience of donors, branded plastic bags will be available at the Little Eden office, which residents may collect and return to the office or second-hand shop in Edenvale filled with donations in kind.

Caring for a family of 300 children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities, most of whom were previously abandoned or come from indigent families, is a colossal task and one that cannot be fulfilled in isolation.

Little Eden relies on the public for donations in kind.

Approximately 230 of the children at Little Eden are clothed from donations received.

Any items such as clothing, furniture, jewellery, kitchen equipment, books, sportsware, bric-a-brac and more, is welcomed.

Items which cannot be used directly for the residents are sold through the society’s second-hand shop and the proceeds are allocated towards the ongoing care of the residents.
