Bedfordview SAPS visited Klopperpark Primary School last Wednesday in an outreach programme aimed at keeping children in schools.

The Bedfordview SAPS Social Crime Prevention Unit organised the event in partnership with Stellar Transport, AA Diamonds and EMPD as well as emergency services.

Identified pupils received school uniforms and the rest of the pupils were treated to lunch after the proceedings.

Also present were officers from the Equestrian Unit who, together with the horses, kept the pupils entertained.

Bedfordview station commander Colonel Sevha Shiburi reminded the pupils to speak out against abuse.

“In most cases, you are abused by the people close to you. Report such incidents to the police because the police are your friends and are there to protect you from harm,” he told the pupils.
