A man was killed and another is fighting for his life in hospital after a shoot out in front of a tavern in Jules Street.
The shooting occurred on Saturday, February 21, shortly after midnight.
The Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said the two men were returning from the tavern when a fight ensued between them and a third man.
“During the fight, the third person produced a firearm and shot at the two men. One of the men was rushed to hospital, where he is in serious condition. The second man was certified dead at the scene,” said Const Mashakane.
The man who fired the shots handed himself in to the SAPS, along with the licensed firearm used in the shooting.
