A man was arrested on Monday morning last week morning following the murder of a homeless man in Eastleigh the night before.
According to the acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts, it is the believed the two men were involved in a fight.
“The one man then stabbed the other,” he said.
Lt Col Roberts added that the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
“We urge residents to report fights on the street to the SAPS by contacting the relevant sector police vehicles,” said Lt Col Roberts.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
