Residents have been advised to use water sparingly.
This morning ward 18 councillor for Edenvale, Clr Heather Hart said water supply was under severe pressure.
“This could be due to the heat wave, probably exacerbated due to pumps not working optimally as a result of loadshedding. This is resulting in low water pressure in parts of Edenvale,” Clr Hart said.
Yesterday large parts of Edenvale were left without water.
“The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) is aware of the water supply interruption affecting the Edenvale CBD and the surrounding areas,” said the spokesperson for the municipality, Mr Themba Gadebe.
