Harmelia Air Scouts seeks new members

Many youngsters around the world enjoy the Scout movement and use the opportunity to learn many valuable life skills.

The Harmelia Gardens Air Scouts recently invested its first group of girls into the troop.

The group is now looking for more girls to join in the fun.

The Harmelia Air Scouts is a regular land scout group, with the only difference being that the group visits air shows and wears a different uniform.

The troop competes in district competitions such as survival camps, cooking competitions, first aid and more.

Many youngsters around the world enjoy the Scout movement and use the opportunity to learn many valuable life skills.

Cubs is open to boys and girls from the ages of eight to 11 and meets on Friday’s from 5.30pm to 7.15pm.

Scouts is open to boys and girls from the ages of 11 to 18 and meets on Friday’s at 7.30pm until 9.30pm.

All meetings for the Harmelia Air Scouts are held at 3 Partridge Avenue, Highway Gardens, next to the Harmelia Community Centre.

Cubs and Scouts will be closed for the holidays from November 29 to January 2015.
