The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) now provides a facility where residents’ monthly accounts are available in PDF format to either be printed, viewed or mailed.
This is in a bid to prevent further frustrations for residents, who suffer from various outside factors that affect the delivery of their monthly municipal accounts.
According to the EMM’s spokesperson, Mr Themba Gadebe, the service will be available on a permanent basis and customers can access it via a link available on the EMM’s website, or by logging onto https://ekurhuleni.docview.co.za.
He said, “By following the easy instructions, in a matter of minutes you will be able view or download your statements for the past three months. In addition, there is a payment link to https://www.e-siyakhokha.co.za which can be used by those customers who wish to pay their accounts online.”
Mr Gadebe encouraged ratepayers to utilise these platforms which have been introduced for their convenience.
“Residents are also reminded to settle their municipal accounts before departing for the holidays to avoid credit control measures being implemented against them,” he added.
