Cuppa held for Cansa fundraising

Rand Aid Association’s Thornhill Manor held a Cuppa for Cansa tea morning recently.

The Cuppa is a national campaign for cancer, through which communities are encouraged to gather and enjoy their favourite beverages to raise funds for cancer.

Activities on the day featured two solos by singer Enid Dixon and a duet with Brian Burls. Accompanying the singers was pianist Amanda Brown.

On the day, residents brought plates of eats. There was also a donation box and raffle tickets on sale.

About 60 people who attended helped raise R2 540 for the Cancer Association of South Africa. The events were arranged by the village’s chapel committee.
