The Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said four men were later arrested.
“The victim was about to buy items from a local shop when he was approached by four men. They pushed him to the ground and searched him. When he asked what they wanted, one of them stabbed him in the face and shoulder,” said Const Mashakane.
She added that the shopkeeper screamed for help and the suspects ran away.
“Following police investigations, four men were arrested and detained at the Cleveland Police Station,” she said.
